Request: Some FF Banner Work Please?

I'll be brutally honest, my graphic design skills when it comes to image work are very rusty sooooo;

Could you guys knock me up some banners 1024x250 pixels with a Final Fantasy theme, no text on them though please, imagine they were to be used on, oh I don't know, an Eyes on Final Fantasy front site template or forum theme?

One thing I must stipulate though is only use official Square-Enix artwork or stuff you've drawn

I will do it tonight but yeah I would love to use some of ff artwork here on Eyesonff but because it's not of my own I guess I will have to use only official images which will be good as well

For the FrontSite of Eyeonff I imagined smth like this:



Because:
- Even though it has some design work it's still the old concept of bg from a scene on FF (this one from FF12) then it has the main FFs with a drawing of Tetsuya Namura, which I personally love and people tend to forget!
- Also the colours of the new FrontSite it's too Photoshop! You can see the gradient maps so it's not very natural and it contrasts with the old banners that are not very worked! So it's not too much but also not too less.
- I also put the round corner but I didn't go with the chocobo I think two banners with it is enough probably now we should try smth new.
- The text shouldn't be too special just the normal old font is enough

Now the images are all from Square and new because the main banner of Eyeonff always has Vivi and the same image of Aerith and perhaps we should use Aerith but other images of other characters! I didn't use Rinoa but Squall and also Yuna so we have kind of a balance between girls and boys.

- The pixel art would rock in the part where would be the "Final Fantasy" text, it's be a contrast between the old and new graphics

It's nice Polaris but personally, I would like to see a better spread of characters from all the games and not just every game from FFVII on.

The banner that ShlupieQuacker made for Under the Sea is the nicest banner, I think, because it's simple and uncluttered. Banner makers should follow her example. :hello:

It doesn't have to contain images from all the games, just a diverse inclusion of pre and post FFVII games.

At least that's this Mulley's opinion.

Although I realize it would be a lot of work, I would love to see some original art in the banner, maybe comprising a comical scene starring characters from most games where they're interacting with each other, rather than a collage. Preferably done by a talented artist such as Rocket Edge or black orb, hint hint.

Yeah, I really don't want another collage. Obviously I could be outvoted, and it's important to find a balance between things people recognize (such as characters from specific games) and something that looks good (ie, not a smurfing collage. ).

But some original art, as Rantzien suggested, would be fantastic. Using a piece of Amano art could work well. I'd definitely like to see something unique from the typical combination of character renders from CG cutscenes this time. Not that I'm trying to knock what you did, Polaris.

If you look at some of the top FF sites on Google: FFInsider, FFOnline, FFShrine, you'll notice they all have a bit more original theme than our own. So obviously I'm not saying we should copy them, but I think we can take a hint and try to come up with something a bit fresh.

I also wouldn't mind something a little more plain if we want to integrate part of the site mechanics into the banner, such as the login bit and the most recent artwork submissions. If we have a busy banner it's going to make the top of the page look very cluttered.

I remember how many people used the image of Vivi staring up at the sky in that Classic banner competition. It's a great image, and certainly fits into the "Eyes on" theme better than just about anything else.
