    Default Downloaing from a site

Okay, so I went to the site to download the FFX clips. And when I click on the one I want it says "it is now downloading, if it is not, download from one of these sources." And then it lists a bunch of places that you can download it from. Well, whatever one I click on, it just brings me to windows media player, then I search my computer, and I can't find it. Anyone can help me out?

    Thanks,

    Cody

What did you set as the place where all of your downloads go?

    1) Moving to Help
    2) Removing references to that site since it's kinda copyright infringement, though your problem is more general.

You probably saved the target, and it was a .php, not an .mp3.

The solution would be to go back, and make sure you're saving the right thing, or to wait for your browser to do it itself.

It opens Windows Media Player because it's a video stream. You should allow WMP to load the file fully, and then you'll be able to save it by going to File > Save As.

You don't have to watch the videos, you just have to let them load fully. It doesn't work as an mp3 because mp3 is an audio format. You need to save them in the correct format to have Windows Media Player be able to recognise them.

Try renaming the mp3 file to have an extension of well known video formats, like .avi, .mpg, etc.

You can download a program called GSpot to identify exactly what format it should be, if you get stuck guessing.
