I might see it just for the hilarity factor. But then comes the issue that I'm spending money on that atrocity.
If their lips move in synch with speech then it ain't Speed Racer.
This space intentionally left blank.
I actually think it looks pretty good. The Warchowski Bros. are talented, and with them behind the steering wheel (get it?) it's bound to be at least well made. I think I'm gonna see it in the cinema when it comes out, but I'm not entirely sure.
Also, I hope this'll be Christina Ricci's big break. She deserves to get one already!
I won't see it in fear that it will rape the nostalgic glory that Speed Racer brought to my childhood.
I think the movie is taking itself too seriously... which I think will be a major hurt to it. Speed racer should be comedic, not extremely serious. But from everything I've seen, it's extremely serious.
On another note, you can watch it and see all the crazy colors and stuff instead of getting high or what not lol

I was wrong about Iron Man, but this movie is definitely crap.
I might try it when I'm on acid just to see how better it'd be.
Everyone here is clearly already on acid, because Speed Racer looks totally kickass.
I don't think it looks very good, but for some reson I am drawn to it... I can't explain it.
Oh, did I mention I'm awesome?
I've got only the faintest glimmer of interest this film and the TV series that spawned it, but I'll say this: the film's visual style, whether you admire it or utterly loathe it, is damn creative. Gloriously artificial, like the worst aesthetics of the 1950s and the present day blended into a surreal new reality.
The film manages to look like a live-action cartoon, even though that notion is a blatant contradiction (and I shall smite any annoying weeaboo who insists that Speed Racer is an Annie-May and not a cartoon), which is an impressive feat.
I doubt I'll see the film. I'd have real difficulty getting into a movie where a character is actually named 'Speed Racer' (although I cope just fine with 'Cloud Strife' and similar silliness...). But, I say we should give credit where it's due, and it looks like this film will be stylistically and cinematographically remarkable.
