    Default Life Imitating Art?

My travels in southern New England bring me to Foxboro, Massachusetts on occasion. On the town square there is a building that looks like it was constructed originally as a chapel, and now holds the Historical Society.

Why am I mentioning this here? Because it is the most striking piece of real architecture that I have ever seen that reminds me of the geometric building construction in FFT.

I can't post the photos as attachments, but follow this link to see them in my gallery.

EDIT: Attachments are back, so here they are.

Crazy stuff. Doesn't surprise me though. I have a feeling many games use real life buildings as a basic design of their own. Good stuff though.

I've lived in Europe for several years and to be sure there is plenty of European architecture in FFT. But most of the cathedrals and buildings I saw were large in scale. What amuses me about this chapel is its laughably small looking from the outside much the way the buildings are in the game.

I'm sure veteran players will recognize why four of five shots are from 3/4 view.

I noticed. Is it wrong if I wanted to march in place if I went to that location?

It looks like an excellent place to take pictures.

Not at all. Maybe next time I should bring my cloak and hood and pose.

I was able to get most of the shots from across the streets on two sides. The only hard part was the southwestern face was against a neighbor's backyard fence, which is why I couldn't get a true 3/4 shot.

    Rock on. Thats awesome.

"They said this day would never come. They said our sights were set too high. They said this country was too divided, too disillusioned to ever come around a common purpose. But on this January night, at this defining moment in history, you have done what the cynics said we couldn't do." - Barack Obama.

Truly incredible. Some things in life are just so beautiful, and to see a likeness of FFT in real life is one of them.
