If you have a BUMP ON YOUR TONGUE, do you sound like Jar-Jar Binks?

I don't, but I have a nasty painful one right now (it doesn't feel any better after I poured hot capuccino over it either!).

My dad told me when I was little that these were 'lie bumps' that came up when you told lies. I didn't really believe him, but I still call them lie bumps. What do you call them? 'chronic-virus-that-can-be-treated-by-acidolpholus-buttermilk'?

I don't think I've ever had a bump on my tongue. I've burnt it a few times eating/drinking hot thing, though.

I call them acid bumps or canker sores. They're caused by dirty mouths, you dirty Allie. Cold sores are caused by viruses and they're on the outside of your mouth.

If what you guys are talking about is what I'm thinking of then yeah, I do this too. Only I rub them against my teeth, which kind of hurts but seems to lessen the pain at the same time. ;[

I remembered having a weird bump on my tounge that was a bit painful when it gets moved. Lucky, I'm not a frequent talker. I usually get canker sores, especially when I accidentally bite my lip. Worst canker sore where like three, one near the bottom lip, one at the gum opposite the canker on the lip, and one that went dangerously in my throat. I got all nervous and panicky. It all went away after gargling mouthwash for a week.

You mean the broken tastebuds? Like if you get a tiny bump on your tongue? I disinfect my nail clippers, clip it off, and disinfect again Doesn't hurt as much as you'd think, and it heals over pretty quick so it doesn't hurt for as long as it would if you just let the bump stay.

I get canker sores too, they freaking suck. In fact, two weeks ago I bit the inside of my lower lip hard core, like really hard core. There's still a deep cut there, and it hurts like a mother
