Given how religious their comments were, I wouldn't be surprised if the reason they have 18 children is because they believe it's immoral to use birth control but still want to smurf like bunnies anyway.

I have 9 kids in my family so I only want 3 kids the most, maybe 2 because I know what it's likkkkke.

If people can have that many children, and are able to support them all fairly and enable them to get a decent education etc etc then it's up to them.

Personally, if I ever start my own family I don't know if I want a lot of kids. Up until recently, I was completely against the idea of children but I guess as one grows older things change. Although I only plan to have a couple, because I want each to have their own room, go to good schools, go to sports clubs or art centres and have hobbies/friends outside of school.

I also think it's important that young children get undivided attention from parents when they're very young so I would want there to be a gap several years at least between each child (if we end up having more than one).
