I say the problem isnt the gas, if it is, you are using way too much.
How on earth do you spend $400 a month on food? I live in a family of 4 and we hardly spend $300 a month on food.
Grocery shopping: $100 every two weeks. so $200
Lunch: 5 times $10 dollar every week, so $200

total: $400

doesnt even include beer and such.

You'd save a lot of money by not going out to eat so much.
