You try working 9-10 hours a day on a sandwich. Plus, you just need that time to eat with friends or you'll go nuts.

I haven't been out to eat with a friend for about 2 months now, and I'm still remotely sane.

So you spend 9-10 hours a day in a 12 x 20 feet lab with no social contact whatsoever, munching happily on your rubber sandwiches in the half hour lunch break?

...okay then.

No, I stay home 24/7 because I can't afford to go anywhere and no local places are hiring or even considering applications. I eat pretty much when I want, and it is often a sandwich or cold cereal for lunch.

I don't enjoy it, but I deal with it.
