I thought the laughing scene sucked. But Auron's voice actor more than made up for it. Just the right level of badassness. Which is extremely high.

Oh, and someone said Lunar 2 has bad voice acting!? I've found that both Lunar games are some of the only JRPGs in general that have voice acting that's actually competent. o.O
But yeah, that MK stuff is atrocious, but I have to side with the original Resident Evil here.

I can't tell you how many times I've died in-game because I was dying of laughter IRL because of those voices. I love this awesome, awesome game.
I agree. The voice performances in the Metal Gear Solid series are generally very solid and good.The acting isn't bad at all. Metal Gear Solid is known for having some of the best voice acting in video games.Oh come now, he wasn't that bad. But some of his lines are more than just a bit ridiculous.
But yeah, there are some cheesy lines. "Do you think love can bloom on the battlefield? ;_;"

People always seem to not understand that the whole purpose of the laughing scene in Final Fantasy X was that it was SUPPOSED to be forced and awkward. In that respect the voice actors achieved the appropriate feel admirably.
I still mute the volume for it, but they did exactly what they were supposed to do.
Agreed. You'd have to be dangerously stupid to play FFX without understanding that the laughing scene is meant to be about bad faked laughter. It's hardly 'bad acting' if it's meant to sound exactly like that.

Aw, man... You made the MK 4 acting look good. That was the PSX, yes? I have the N64 home port, and the acting is even worse. Most of the lines get cut off.
