I'm officially done for a while. I just uninstalled D2 from my laptop and am taking a break from it. I feel like a weight's been lifted from my shoulders. I do still have it installed on my desktop, which I rarely fire up, but it is there if people need equips or such and I can keep my chars from expiring, especially those with the good equips.

Hey, is there any way to stop the game lagging whenever I kill Diablo/Baal?
Because whenever the game gets back to a steady pace, all the items are gone. (Save the rubbish ones)
Upgrade your computer's RAM or graphics card. Or even possibly your internet connection. Or learn how to click furiously while having either your inventory open or lots of space in it for multiple items.
You might try lowering the resolution to 600 x 480 or whatever as well.
There are hacks/mods available that will omit certain graphic intensive objects and/or skills as well (no Firestorm, corpses, fire, hurricane, meteor, traps, etc...)

Or if you manage to freeze Baal right before he dies he'll explode and you can skip his puking/dying animation.
Or you can get a BaalBot, make a Hammerdin, and have one of the preset speeches to ask people not to Summon (especially Necromancers), use Meteor, Traps, Frozen Orb, Amazons, Torches, any fire spell, Blizzard, Necromancer Bone skills, use Sorceresses, Hurricane, Armageddon (not that anyone uses this one anyways), or Poison Nova.

Barbs are useless because they are replaced for their worth by CtA and Enigma, thus removing the need for an HP buff or the possibility that you'll be getting hit. By anything.
I thought about playing this game the other day. Instead I looked outside and saw birds flying, heard them singing, saw the green grass shining in the sun light and was content to sit inside and play Disgaea 3.
