You know you can check which version you have just by going into the game, right? Ohh, yeah, CD.

Chances are you have either 1.11b, because we've played with you on Battle.net during these seasons. 1.11b was the longest one, at about 3 years, pre-dating our original attempt at this by quite some time. If you've played at all after June on Battle.net, you've got 1.12. They have yet to change from 1.12. There's no way in hell you have 1.10 unless you have been consciously thinking about mod and advantages of staying at 1.10.

Try running Diablo II anyways. If you bothered to do the things to allow you to play without the CD, you should be okay no matter what. Just run the damn thing. You can't even remember what patch you're on; am I supposed to expect you to remember which files you copied from a CD because a bright shiny thing on a screen told you to?

You can also check Bnetlog.txt or bnupdate.txt for the latest patch you received. You can even check patch.txt and look at which stuff is at the top.
