The Pillows!

Do you know 'em, do you like 'em? I do, I love them to death. I watched FLCL two years ago and the music completely rocked my soul. I looked up the credits, found out the band, and checked out more of their stuff. All of it is crazy, incomprehensible joy in rock format and I could not ask for more. So I hunted down albums at cons and bought some stuff offline and I thought I had all of it.

Turns out I was dead wrong because I have missed their last two albums and another one is coming out in like three days. AGH, I felt so stupid! So I went and bought the last few and Wake Up! Wake Up! Wake Up! came in yesterday. It was weird, after listening to all their older stuff to hear their new songs. It was like listening to a punk band you supported early in their career; their sound was kind of noisy and unrefined. I listened to The Pleasure Song and was blown away. This was my Pillows, it was definitely their music, but totally different. It is very refined, smooth and wahhhh, I just can't describe it. It's crazy. I love it, but it's just a kind of shock to me.

I haven't gotten around to listening to any of their music outside of FLCL, but what I have heard is pretty cool!

Course I'm still a new fan, I was introduced by FLCL and then got the soundtracks along with Happy Bivouac. I want more but lately I've been broke, they are a few musical groups I've been meaning to collect more so learning they have more stuff is awesome. Favorite tracks? Too many actually...
