Cap?

I'm using the select/cancel trick to level up my magic and it seems to be capping at 6-99 for a lot of spells. Is there a reason for this? I thought the max for both weapons and spells was 16. [this is the origins version by the way]

There's a trick for leveling up magic? O_O

Yeah, you can use it to level attack and magics.
All you do is select and input your command, and then press cancel when the next character is up. Repeat constantly until satisfied.

Damn, it takes ages to level up your spells after level 9 or so. It's so tedious.
