I find him pretty funny, but I prefer his Chzo Mythos series above anything else. His novel Articulate Jim: The Search for Something is also pretty entertaining.

I love ZP, but haven't seen much of his other stuff. I tried to look around his site, but he didn't seem to cover much else I was interested in.
He's a fair reviewer. I love Smash, and did think that particular review was unfair. Not because his criticisms weren't valid, but just because they seemed to miss the heart of the game. That said, I respected that he said what he thought, as I adore the fact that he is one of the few reviewers to notice that Halo just isn't that good.
I say what I think. If you disagree, then that is up to you.
...is that Erdrick Holmes? D:
Anyway, after reading this thread I decided to check out some of Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation reviews and I have to say I really enjoyed them. Sure, his attitude is scathing and I don't always agree with his opinions, but each video I watched was charming in delivery, which I enjoyed. Also, he gets extra points for saying Portal was sublime. Anyone gets extra points in my book for saying Portal was good.
I like Yahtzee for his games, not just his reviews. The John DeFoe quadrilogy and 1213 mini-series are both interesting games and do a lot to make you think, even though there'll be times you just want to bash your head in when playing the first series. 1213 is like a rip-off of Flashback, which I consider a good thing. The Art of Theft is his latest game and it succeeds where his John DeFoe series and other games tend to fail, in very smooth gameplay.
I'm currently playing The Trials of Odysseus Kent on and off. The gameplay sucks, but I'm sticking in for the story. The treasure, it'll be mine!
The Escapist : Video Galleries : Zero Punctuation : Webcomics
"This week, Yahtzee takea [sic] apart the making of a successful gaming webcomic, or: how to make millions of gamers happy with the minimum amount of effort."
It's so cute how much he wants to be the voice of all CAD haters.
This is the first one I've laughed at in a while. xP CAD sucks.
I watch the vids more out of the entertainment value than for the review. It also helps that I have played so few of the games he does review anyways, so I cannot really complain about his reviews.
The Escapist : Video Galleries : Zero Punctuation : LEGO Indy
With a bonus review of the new Indy movie at the end.
I must say I enjoyed his MGS4 review and I'm one of the bigger MGS fans out there but even I have to admit some of the faults he says about the series is pretty true.
Laughed my ass off at this one:
"Somebody once said a politician is someone who can talk for hours and never actually say anything. If that is true, Hideo Kojima could run for government and be emperor of the universe by mid-afternoon"
~Yahtzee
I'll admit he gets a little too wordy at times (hell most of the time) but I still love Kojima
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
I watched some of his stuff the other night, without realising it was the same guy from this thread. His stuff is pretty funny
He's going to be at an ACMI seminar tonight in Melbourne. I was going to go, but left it too late and couldn't get tickets (they are free, but only a limited amount of people allowed in).
