Ok, I just found an awesome new hidden character. Not a cameo from a previous FF, to my knowledge, no secret job, and not a main-plot character. But at the end of a really well written chain of quests, you get a new character in your clan.
(SPOILER)The quests are about a zombie who remembers her past life. That's all you get.
