Looks like on the website they're going to be revealing the classes gradually. I wouldn't be surprised with the shift in focus toward skills if there was a healing-oriented class that popped up.

I don't really see Diablo working on a console, but that's just me...

And likewise. It seems like they're just sort of taking little streamlined parts from MMOs to make it a bit easier (I always thought the way they did skills in D2 was clunky at best).

I am happy. Let's hope they will make it worthwhile.

I would definitely be happy if they did <3

I feel like it would be more cumbersome than it's worth. I'm just gonna get a new PC that can run it.

I think I'll get the specs, walk into a PC store, and say "Give me this" xD I don't know jack about this sort of thing, though. Then they can make me pay for more than I need since I'm out of the loop.

You'll want to get more than the bare minimum anyway. :P

What will the system requirements be anyway?

Neither do I, with the mess of a game that Starcraft 64 wound up being.

Also, Paladins were supposed to be the heavy support/tanker class. Unfortunately, everyone whined about Paladins not being able to do anything, even when their skills were already broken enough as it is to deal with everything in the game (lol Vengeance/Conviction, anyone?). They are also one of the most item-dependent classes, which makes the obsessive Blizzard community swoon all over them. I would imagine that Paladins or a cult-ish version of the class would appear in Diablo III, and retain many of their support (ie, Healing) abilities.

Most likely they will be approximately one generation of technology behind. Demos may seem revolutionary or nice now, but they tend to not change. Blizzard games, with the possible exception of WCIII when it was released, were fairly accessible to even the lagging constituency. Six red bars? Yeah, we can accommodate you guys, too.

It's not going to come out on consoles anyway.

The Diablo games were fun and all. But I don't see why people tend to want to wet their pants over everything Blizzard does o_O I'll probably grab it, but I doubt I'll have half the tempo for it anyone else is displaying. Why are we crapping ourselves? I always figured this game was inevitable. Just like StarCraft 2

Am I the only one in thinking that the gameplay to Diablo 3 looks very poor. I know good games dont rely on pretty graphics but there has been nothing shown that has made me go "wow, I need to play this". Ive never played a Diablo game before so maybe im just not seeing what is so great about the game.

For the record, Diablo 1 was ported to the PSX, first place I played it, and it was passable.

Because some of us have been playing the Diablo series since we were in grade school.

Certain games are inevitable, but that does not stop one from skullskullskullskullting themselves over a new release.
    Like Nominus Experse said.
I remember playing the first one at the age of seven-eight. You can never be too excited for a new a release for a game you loved so much in your childhood.

The screenshots did very little for me but I thought it looked really nice in motion.

I guess that would make a sizable difference on their perception. I think I was like.... 20? lol...

I found some interesting things here I didn't know. Though I haven't even been to the new site yet, so... I fail.

    • Group size. Though the team hasn’t decided how many people will be in a group, Wilson said to expect four to five players.

That one disappointed me. I hope by the time of release they have upped that.

    • Group loot. When a boss was killed in the old games, the player with the fastest connection would typically grab the loot first. However, in “Diablo III,” the loot will generate and drop for each player.

I imagine everyone will still just click like a crazyhorse.

    • Respecing skills. Wilson said they won’t be talking about the skill system and specs yet, but he revealed, “I will say I think it’s a bad idea to not let you respec your character.”

    :kaohappy2

    • Inventory size. While the final inventory system isn’t final, Wilson promised a improved trading system between a player’s multiple characters as well as other players.

"...between a player's multiple characters" sounds like transfer system to me.

I hope most of the stuff there is true.
