    Default Victory Poses

Ever since the original we have all been blessed by little dances, cheers, fanfare and poses whenever we slay a beast and forge its remains for currency. I ask you now, which of these victory poses is your favorite? Which one do you loathe? Are there any that make you say, huh?

I'll give my opinion in a minute after I hear yours.

I always liked Sephiroth's victory dance thing in FFVII when he sweeps his blade, left and right before putting it away. I always liked the little jumping up and down from the 2D games. Never really enjoyed watching Eiko or Selphie doing their silly little dances though.

I've always like Squall's. He swipes the air then turns away in disgust as though the battle has been a waste of time. Classic arrogance

Lately I've been partial to Balthier's victory pose when he uses a one handed sword and shield. He rests his foot on his sword he stabbed upright into the ground and then pulls a handkerchief out and wipes his boots of monster guts. Instant classic :ezpimp:

Me, I prefer Vivi's and Lulu's. Vivi's stance shows determination, bravery. Lulu's.... well when she leans down I get a peek.

You know, I was struggling to remember what the FFXII victory poses were like because you don't see them very often, but if I'd remembered that pose, I would have posted it myself. It was most excellent.

Balthier when he wipes his shoe with a handkachief

Penelo when she does some acrobatics

Fran when she puts the arrow in her mouth.

Yuffie spin around almost fall over.

    Tifa stretchy stretch

    Lulu of course hehe

Both of those are utterly cute, especially Fran for some reason.

Cloud's pose is simple but showy, I like it.

In FFIX, it's neat how Amarant goes from having no victory pose, to acquiring one after he starts questioning the meaning of his life. And it's not exactly a victory dance as such - he turns his back on the battlefield, and sits down in a meditative pose. It hints at quite a lot of depth and introspection that aren't really touched on during the game.

This is pretty much exactly what I was planning to say. If I remember correctly, the victory pose changes after he's saved by Zidane in Ipsen's castle. He starts thinking more about his ways at that point as far as I can tell, and I think it's brilliant that it's reflected in a pose that usually have little connection to the story.

Oh, and I forgot Rikku's little hand gestures when they win! I love the whole "What now, biznatch!?" look. xD
