This is pretty much exactly what I was planning to say.If I remember correctly, the victory pose changes after he's saved by Zidane in Ipsen's castle. He starts thinking more about his ways at that point as far as I can tell, and I think it's brilliant that it's reflected in a pose that usually have little connection to the story.
