CONFIRMED: Chrono Trigger port for DS?

Also, just in case this turns out to be a lie some time over the next few hours, if there was a DS port, what would you like to see in it? New dungeons? New playable characters? Etcetera?

This is a rumor. OR IS IT? I don't know, but I really don't want to get my hopes up.

I don't think new playable characters would make me enjoy it any more (probably less, actually). However, new dungeons and side quests (and/or character developing side quest type deals) would be rad. Maybe new weapons and equipment, or new abilities. New monsters. NEW EVERYTHING.

Anyway, here's to hoping it isn't just a port. If I want to play Chrono Trigger as it is I'll do it on a TV. Gimme more side quest, character development, difficulty, and general awesomeness and I'll be quite happy, thank you very much.

I've been wanting to play this game for the longest time, but due to my dislike of emulators and being in the wrong part of the world I haven't been able to, apart from the very early stages of it, so I'll be delighted if it does come out on the DS.

I was actually thinking the other day about which ports I'd like to see come out on the DS, and Chrono Trigger was top of my list. :p

The whole game will be a new experience for me, so I'll be fine with it as it is.

What's the expected US release date, late 2009..?
