Did anyone else notice that the number "7" showed up a lot in this game?

  1. Avalanche's hideout is in Sector 7 in Midgar
  2. ...and it is in a pub called "The Seventh Heaven".
  3. The promise between Cloud and Tifa was made "7 years ago".
  4. There are 7 types of Materia (if the Black and White Materias are included)
  5. When Tifa passes out, she is asleap for 7 months, acording to Barret.
  6. As you near the end of the game, it is said that Meteor will fall in about 7 days.
  7. The 7 Squares in the Saucer.
  8. If you are hurt in battle, and your HP lands on exactly 7777 that character will keep attacking and each hit will be 7777

I realize this is "Final Fantasy VII, but is that the reason that the title number appeard all these times? I don't remebmer anything being "Eight years ago" in FFVIII, or your HP reaching "5555" doing anything inparticular in FFV.
