I never played Legend of the Ghost Lion very long, but it had an interesting system.

You had the main Character, who didn't get experience from battles, and leveled by finding special items.

You could either attack, or use another item to summon an ally, ranging from casters to melee forces.

I believe you could have up to two allies summoned at a time.

I don't really recall much of that game other then that.

Mother was the first game in a series, Earthbound being the second, but the only one released in the US and maybe Europe, I'm not really sure.

You were a young boy named Ninten who possessed A natural Psycic power. After beating a mysterious Polterghiest in his house, he embarks on a journey. I forget how he learned of his purpose though.

His goal is to gather all the notes to recreate the melody once heard by the queen of MAgicant, and mysterious and strange magical land.

I can't remember much asside from that though.

OVerall I know very little of NES RPGs honestly.
