I remember hearing rumours about it years ago and how it was about a prince who wanted to use an evil sword to open the gates of hell or some skullskullskullskull. Sounded like it had absolutely nothing to do with the games. I mean, yeah, I get that translating a fighting game into a movie would require certain changes in the overall flow, but I think that might be a bit much.
