Cookie Things That Are Hard in Math

Please tell what branch of mathematics it's from, and if possible, give an example. I want to collect a bunch of things to maybe write some simple tutorial/pointers on them.

well, which are the specific parts of geometry you find most difficult? The proofs, the Angle Side Angle stuff, spherical geometry, two parallel lines split by a transversal?

Although I think geometry is easy, I think it's a good area to pick since it's interesting what you can do with circles and shapes and their properties, and they don't seem to teach it in schools as much as they used to anymore

Parrametric Parabolas finding the cartesian equasion and locus for some instance. Some with Hyperbolas and Ellipses.

Tell us all about the relationship between circles, triangles, phasers, analog functions and trigonometry.

i was just helping a co-worker with some geometry a while ago, it was basic though.
seemed to have the most trouble with radicals and general formulas to find circumference, radii' diameters, right triangles, etc etc...

ive also found that there are more people re-learning the material they forgot in school than there are actually in grade school learning it.
    fancy that. =/

I'm like, Mr. Arsonist 2000. And 2003, if you saw my beautiful work on assorted AOL CDs. I've kinda not been up to my old form in 2004, but here's hoping.

I loved math until I got to precalculus. I don't know what happen, but I began to despise mathematics.

I began to confide in foreign language.

So many people are like this; I'm the opposite. I despised math until I got to calculus, where I really started to enjoy it. Maybe because it's actually applicable to real things. I dunno.

The Dirac Delta Function. I don't really remember what that is, but I remember I didn't understand it at all. I learned (or didn't) it in ODEs.

Wait what? I like both kinds of math but i cant see calculus being any more applicable than non-calculus math.
