Did I read that Portal: Still Alive is coming to Xbox Live? Has that been announced at the press conference yet?
I want a PC version.

I am first and foremost a FF fan, I am not even a Sony fan. Which console I buy has always been determined by where FF and other games that I like such as MGS are going to be. It was the case with the NES, SNES, PS 1, 2 and 3. It is all about the games, the console is just a platform to play them.
While FF XIII was one of the main reasons I got a PS3, I see no reason to be mad just because it is coming out on the Xbox as well. I see this as a smart move from SE. They are getting bigger and must logically expand their market as the games keep getting more expensive to make. Their business is to sell their game, not a console and if making the game multiplatform helps their business then it would be foolish for them to not do it for the sake of staying "loyal" (whatever that means) to a particular console.
What I hope is that this move to multiplatform doesn't has a negative impact on the quality of FF XIII.

Seriously. A lot of people like to think of Squenix as Sony's wife, and by doing anything for anyone besides Sony is, like, cheating or something. xP[...]not do it for the sake of staying "loyal" (whatever that means) to a particular console.
Hahaha ain't that the truth.
Although I admit I am surprised. Most would have said Final Fantasy was a system seller and a lynchpin in Sony's long-term plan for the PS3. I would have expected great lengths to keep it exclusive. I guess they just couldn't compete with Moneybags.
Anyway yeah I basically have zero incentive for a PS3 now. smurf yes to MS and Squeenix.
To be honest some people do have a reason to be angry about FFXIII coming to 360. Some people's sole reason to buy a PS3 was FFXIII and now may think they got cheated into buying a system they may not really want.
...but Tekken 6 is still on the PS3 ._.
Well, the game is still coming for PS3, so I don't see how they could feel as if they got cheated (by whom?) into buying it. If the game were not coming for PS3 after being announced for it then it would make more sense for them to be angry.
This has more of an impact on those who are still on the fence when it comes to getting a console. Those who want FF XIII but were waiting for the PS3 to get cheaper will probably go for an Xbox instead.
I can understand how some (myself included) can feel as if the PS3 they got lost some of it's value as it lost an exclusive title. But I don't think that is something to get all worked up for. Perhaps SE can balance things out and announce tomorrow the remake of FF VII as an exclusive for PS3. That would make everyone happy again, I would be happy even if they make that multiplatform as well.

I think the reason they'd feel cheated is because they'd prefer the X-Box 360 at that point, assuming FF13 was their sole reason for getting a PS3, and nothing else interests them.
I'm not whining. I own both consoles so it wouldnt even affect me even if it was completely ripped off Sony's line-up and made a full 360 exclusive.
But I am annoyed that FFXIII is coming to the 360. Microsoft are choking this industry to death as they splash their money about. They have no sportsmanship and all they are trying to do is take what Playstation had. Both the PS3 and 360 are getting harder and harder to distinguish at this point. I am beginning to appreciate the 16-bit days more and more as this generation continues. Back when Sega and Nintendo were duking it out they weren't trying to steal every exclusive the other one had. When one had a hit on its hands the other would try to to outdo the other with a new IP, try to do something new and innovative with the genre. Make their fanbase proud to own their console. Now we see no such thing.
Microsoft have no respect left as far as I'm concerned.
