    Default vista sound problems

    Ok!

    so I now have vista on this PC. I've had trouble with my audio drivers staying. Each time the computer is shut off with working sound it starts up with no sound and saying there is no audio device. any help? I'm using the onboard audio from my Asus KV8-VM mobo. Or I have a Maya 7.1 card kicking around if that would work. thanks.

    You could try updating the BIOS assuming ASUS has posted updates for it. That might help.
