At this point Nintendo only know how to appeal to the casual crowd. They may as well have announced a new entry in one of their key franchises because having Star Wars and a Rayman game as your big games for this holiday is a joke. The DS does have Spore I suppose.
They should have showed Madworld, which is still the only worthwhile Wii title at the moment. If Nintendo continue to shaft games like Madworld it'll suffer the same fate as No More Heroes as a great game for the hardcore crowd that nobody buys.
As for the GTA game, will be it be 3D or 2D? Just wondering....
Stepping into /v/, it's currently nothing but facepalm threads about Nintendo's performance. Delicious tears.

They can still make great games that appeal to the core crowd. Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, and SSBB all prove that. The problem is that they can make so much goddamn money on stuff like WiiFit and WiiMusic it's obviously become their focus. And that blows.
G4 is interviewing Reggie. They asked him about 'where are the hardcore games' and he basically came back with 'the Animal crossing that everybody wanted'.
It's probably a lot faster/easier for them to make those kinds of games than it is to make a 'new' game that us core gamers want. I doubt they're pulling important people off their mario/zelda etc games to work on Wii Music. I guess it takes time. I do agree that they could have shown *something*.
They also didn't show any Japanese 3rd party games, like MadWorld, instead focusing on the american developers. It is an american show after all.
Voice chat features make me excited for the potential of non-ty online play. Mayhap with the new games coming out they'll decide to get their
together and make it worthwhile... seriously, no more friend codes. Please.
Very disappointing on the whole. Wii Sports Resort seems like fun, and the microphone is interesting (though I don't know why they don't just allow for bluetooth headsets, since the remotes already use it). But seriously, Nintendo, game up.
They probably just didn't want people crying and passing out in the crowd like they did for the unveiling of Twilight Princess ;P kidding
Well Ive only dabbled in the DS version for a little bit and cant say much but Animal Crossing just seems like a social playground where you fish and talk. Never saw what appealed to the core gamers.
Anyway I'm done with Nintendo, they just seem to be promoting 3rd party shovelware that people actually wanted rid of, not more of. I hope Sony can deliver.
You've been "done" with Nintendo for years.
