I watched "Honey I Blew Up the Kid" when I was very young and for the longest time I believed that radio waves from the TV/microwave would eventually turn you into a giant.

Also my father told me that we were descended from Mary Queen of Scots and I didn't question it until my twenties. Still have no idea if that's true or not.
