Inter are overrated (in Europe anyway), Italian football is not, though it is nowhere near as good as it has been in the past. It's not totally dead though, it was only two seasons ago that Milan beat Man Utd and Liverpool to win the European Cup! Despite that Man Utd will beat Inter I think, Inter have flattered to deceive time and time again in the European Cup in recent years.
We didn't let in an away goal - good. But we should have won by more and I worry that in the second leg we'll be caught in two minds as to whether attack or to try and protect the lead. Still 1-0 is a decent scoreline.
Ways the season could get even worse for us:
- Get overtaken by Everton
- Lose to Burnley or Sheffield United/Hull in the FA Cup and waste a decent chance of a trophy
- Lose to Man Utd or Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final or final, in really agonising circumstances
- Baptista knocks us out of the European Cup.
- Man Utd win the Treble/Quadruple
