I hate people who cut my throats, but thankfully I usually headshot them first. Unless if they sneak up really well behind me.

Anyway, good tips. For those using Assault rifles (my expertise - I suck at everything else, but its good enough to make me come top a lot), my main tip would be HEADSHOT. Seriously, its ridiculous how much more damage you do with one headshot.

Also, never play a game with lag. It ruins everything. And whenever possible, never face a fair fight. If you spot a bunch of enemies, and they spot you, you know what they'll do. They'll cover the immediate area, ready to blast the hell outta you if you appear. So dont be the macho man and walk out. Instead, try and sneak round and gun them down from behind. If thats not possible, just wait round the corner, and hope that they get overly curious. If you want, you can even place a trap.
