Halo 2, most definitely. Anywhere I went, offline, online, people would be talking about how awesome it is.
Halo 2 definately, But I love Halo.
Xenogears is the most overrated game I can think of amongst people who's taste in games is usually pretty decent. God only knows what possess people to call this the 'greatest cRPG'.

I would agree with Xenogears. It's really annoying, now. I think it's a great game, but I was pretty disappointed when I started playing it cause of all the hype. It isn't THAT smurfing good. I think the dialogue can be absolutely atrocious, and some of the characters...ugh.
And what I don't get about it is that people are always saying it's so underrated, and overlooked. But I'm constantly hearing about people going on and on and on about it. Blegh.
I mean, I don't know about most overrated, but it's definitely up there.
Final Fantasy VII. I fail to see the appeal in the game, or the spinoffs. I didn't like the music, and every single charactor annoyed me. The story was mediocre at best, though I suppose it was somewhat of a breakthrough as far as what a game could do length-wise. It was an all-around unenjoyable experience that I don't care to subject myself to again.
Kingdom Hearts. I've only played the first one, and while it was fun as hell, I don't think it lives up to the hooplah. The worlds were so limited, the story didn't much interest me... meh, meh, and more meh. The second looks more promising in terms of plot, so maybe I'll pick it up.
Halo series. 1st one was alright 2nd is crap.
Oh and GTA: Vice City
