Firefly
I remember when I got to the Phon Coast and I picked up a Firefly. It confused me and I forgot to post it here so let me do it now.
What's the point of the Firefly if the monsters don't level up with you? I mean, you might as well get the EXP while you farm right?

My only guess is that Square Enix has picked up on the fact that a lot of crazy people who want to beat the final boss at level one play these games.

What does it do? xP
It stops you from getting any EXP from enemies that you kill, so all you get is the Gil and the Loot.

It's also useful if one of your characters is significantly higher than others in your party and you want to balance your team out.
is it possible to beat the end boss at levels 1,2,2,3,3,3??

The point of the Firefly is so that if a character is a very high level and you want to level the other two in your party but still use your power hitter, put it on that character and it won't get esp. and then exp from monsters wont' be divided 3 ways, but only 2 ways, between the 2 that don't have the Firefly on.
That's actually a pretty good point. I had forgotten EXP worked like that in this game.
The Fire fly is a Very useful item when used to level certain characters as most the exp isn't given to the character you dont want leveling up higher than it already is. - and if you don't by thi point have all the licences. it still enables that "higher" character to get LP or the LP board. - a very useful item

Aye, makes firefly super useful if you were too lazy to keep all your characters around the same level by the time you want to have an alternate team at the end of the game. Means you don't have to run around with lower level guys knocking off monsters that are weaker than you'd normally fight with your other party. =D
