Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne... I seriously don't believe I have to go any farther than that in explanation.

Getting to the very end of FFTA, having only 2 missions left for completion and finding out I can't get the item necessary to qualify for said missions cause their are only three times you can get it and they are all one time missions; which means I most likely threw it away when I was cleaning out my quest item inventory...

Getting close to beating the uber boss version of I-No in GGXX story mode with Dizzy. Knocked her down to an inch of life and had her spam two supers. One used to make her invincible when I hit her with Dizzy's super attack and the second one killed me despite having half health... Made more frustrating cause I only have one shot at the fight cause I get a different ending depending on whether I win or lose...

Well...I was pretty far into Skies Of Arcadia Legends, when my brother saved over it with his file. I never touched that game ever again.

Well, ranking is, and by extension matchmaking is. My friends got six wins in a row.

Do you know how many skill levels they gained? Right! Absolutely none! Which obviously makes sense from the number of kills McLovin was getting. But nope, neither he nor Hagan went up at all. So yeah, broken tbh (Proxy post on McLovin's behalf imo)

I usually save my Masterball for Shiny Pokemon like that where False Swiping and Sporing a Pokemon isn't a solid enough strategy.

Anyways, losing my 100% file in Yoshi's Island comes to mind.

Yeah true but I wanted to whine about not getting skillups when you clearly deserve them. I just ran with it

How does this timeline (while rather impressive, yet oddly obsessive) have anything to do with the subject in this thread?

I always save my Masterball for the rare Pokémon that always run away. Shiny Pokémon are easily caught once you trap them with Mean Look and then status effect them, it's just a matter of finding them.

And yeah, I can sympathize with the Yoshi's Island deal. I had 100% in that game...and then lost it. It's still missing to this day.

Years ago, GoldenEye, Aztec, 00 Agent level. I'd just managed to upload the Launch Protocol Data and was running across to the ladder to open the exhaust bay and finish the level. As I ran past I got shot by a guy standing in the ventilation system and died. It was a one in a million chance that he could have hit me anyway, but it happened.

    *sigh*

Oh and last night, got up to Cloud of Darkness in FF3 DS and, after owning every single miniboss on the way up without breaking a sweat, he owned me in about two turns.

Also, 194 lightning bolts in FFX. Went back a few days later and did 250 just to be sure ^^

Losing my level 100 Mewtwo when it went all funny trying to trade it across to the Silver version. Getting the damn Time Machine from Silver and Cable Club from Blue to synchronise, that was bloody hard enough, actually having the trade succeed was even worse! (I realise that level 100 Mewtwos are useless because nobody lets you use them, but he's my favourite so I always raise on anyway on principle.)

I always used to try and make that the first story ending I did (what with the number of times I've owned the game then had to get rid of it for whatever reason, then something happened to my save and so on). It was a real bitch.

Heh, one thing that happened to me: I was playing FF VI and managed to do the Phoenix Cave in the WoR and I got out to the Ariship and had not saved yet. As soon as I start to move the Airship to land somewhere what do you think happened?

    Screen shakes...DOOMGAZE!

It killed me and I had to redo quite a bit of the Phoenix Cave.

Getting to the bottom of the Abyss in Wild Arms 3....then fighting the boss down there, using a bunch of Lucky Cards on my party, and not getting XP for it ANYWAY.

...The getting teleoprted to the top and having to fight it AGAIN.

    And STILL no XP.

I'm still mad at that game. lol

Losing 200 VR points in Mario kart Wii because some guy in last place uses a blue shell on me.
Whats really annoying about that is the guy in last place will never get any benefit from it, it happens at least twice every race as well.

Getting killed on Diablo 2 because of lag is also incredibly annoying, It always seems to happen someplace where I have no way point as well.

I beat Blue Version only for my batteries to die as the old professor guy was talking to me.
