Internets Issues

This has been happening for months, but it hasn't made me want to do anything about it until now. Every few pages or so, a page will only half-load or take me to an error page. It happens with three different browsers, and other computers on the same network don't have this problem, so I think it's just my computer.

I don't know much about this stuff, so I don't know what to do S:

I should also mention that sometimes it just totally quits after some hours. It won't load any pages at all ever. Things like Chatzilla, MSN, and Yahoo! Messenger still work fine, though. When this happens the only thing that works at all is completely resetting my laptop. Then I just have to deal with the problem in the original post S:

What anti-virus and firewall do you run? Also have you run any spyware scans lately, if not try doing that too.

McAfee

It scans every once in awhile. I use Malwarebyte's anti-malware thingy to scan the stuff McAfee might miss (just did that yesterday, no problems).

Does your modem have a firewall setting, and if it does, is it set on High?
