NZ broke its one-day medal record yesterday, pretty neat after getting nothing for the whole of the games to date.
Bolt's race was awesome, too. I wonder just how fast he would've been if he'd kept sprinting the entire way, rather than 'relaxing' once he knew he'd won?

Exactly. Your suppose to try and do the best you possibly could at the Olympics, clearly winning was all that he thought about. I preferred the swimmer who came in dead last, but raced her heart out to break her personal best then what he did.

I don't like it when they gloat either. I started to get irritated with Phelps because really started to get cocky. Whenever he won he looked really smug and arrogant at times, and in most of his races, he did really look like he put out in 100%.
I can put up with smug, but Jesus, slowing down at the end of a race because its clear you won? I've never been able to tell Phelps slowed down during a race. Show me a part where he did then I'll be all like >:0
But as far as I can tell he races 'till its done. 'course I'm not an expert eye when it comes to swimming :P
