I do miss the SNES vs Genesis (Mega Drive) days. People talked some -serious- skullskullskullskull back then. Both companies constantly attacked each other (though SEGA admittedly got a little dirtier about it). But nobody ever got offended or even lost their stride at all. So no matter what anyone thought it always seemed in good fun

I remember an old issue of a magazine I used to read talking about an E3 that went on during that time where the rivalry was thick there. And the fans kept pranking each other to the point that at the end there was a deflated mascot at the bottom of the pool. I can't even remember if it was Sonic or Mario. Because no matter who it was, it was funny. I was a SEGA fan, but even if it was Sonic I would have found it amusing because I know my fellow fans would have done the same thing (or maybe did do it). And at the time I respected it, because it was all just cheeky (and admittedly adolescent) shinannigans(sp?)
