Default Life Imitating Art (Pt II)?

After blowing the lid off a real life example of FFT architecture, I have yet again stumbled onto what looks like a real life example of something that I thought only existed in a video game. In this case: the Dragon Warrior series.

While strolling through the Higgins Armory, which has a replica medieval great hall inside an incongruous-looking modern building that displays suits of armor, I found a Japanese artifact on display.

    Judge for yourself.

Very cool. Did you offer them $250 for it?

Sad to say, I didn't. I wish I had thought to bring the guidebook price list with me.

On a related note there's no way that wearing that thing could add +3 to my appearance! I'd look so ridiculous wearing a metal seashell on my head; and to think some samurai overlord did.
