    Default I just noticed...

The music of this game is incredible. In particular the tracks Liberi Fatali, Balamb Garden, Blue Fields, Julia, Waltz for the Moon, FH, Breezy, and Eyes On Me are all breathtakingly relaxing. I thought FFVIII had the best music along with VII, IX, and X. Thoughts? Favorite tracks?

I think Fisherman's Horizon is my favorite; I especially like the piano version of it.

FFVIII's sound track is amazing, the best imo. The soundtrack is a big reason this game "feels right" in terms of the atmosphere. The story line as well as the characters are huge parts of that but the soundtrack really brings everything together. Im really glad I own the soundtrack.

It's not my absolute favourite, but it's got some brilliant tracks nonetheless.

I like some of the subtleties too - like Waltz for the Moon and Eyes on Me having different arrangements of the same tune. The waltz is the the song sped up and in waltz time, but it's definitely the same tune.

Laguna's battle theme, Liberi Fatali, and numerous other individual pieces really stand out for me, with the soundtrack only let down by unremarkable elements like the Deling City tune and the various final battle themes.

But hearing the iconic FF theme played by a real orchestra for the first time... that was neat then, and it's still neat now.

FFVIII had one of the weaker tracks of the series in my opinion.

The soundtrack is about the only thing I like in this game. Not as good as IX's, but I do think it had a lot of good music.

I keep trying to bring the good tracks from FFVIII to mind but they all inevitably end up being drowned out by Blue Fields.

There's alot of reasonable complaint about the easy listening/elevator music in places like timber and deling city, and blue fields has been known to cause many a headache, but overall I agree, it's one of the best soundtracks in the series, such a wide variety of awesome, Uematsu really went crazy on this one.

Man With the Machine Gun might be my favorite track.

I felt this way too. The tracks that are great are really great, but the majority are absolutely boring.

The Man With The Machine Gun - Laguna Theme

    Greiver Battle Theme

The Music That Plays when you fight the 3rd enemy in the Final boss battle.

FF7 and FF8 have the best music soundtracks. Long live Nobuo!

No time for "Dilly-Dallying" or "Shilly-Shallying."
Props go to the one and only, Proxy, for the signature.

I love the battle music, especially Maybe I'm a Lion, and the boss battle music. There's a guitar-riff version of the boss battle music that's even better.

Naturally Liberi Fatali, as well as Succession of Witches, The Spy, Heresy, Lunatic Pandora, and Maybe I'm a Lion.

I love the motifs throughout the soundtrack. Eyes on Me and its melody are a great core to the central themes of Final Fantasy VIII.
I believe in the power of humanity.
