Unhappy Do I need another DS battery?

While playing revenant wings it lasts for like ... two hours, and I plan to purchase FF IV in two weeks, its a pain to keep charging it, is it worth purchasing a new one?

It should last 500 charges. Are you sure it's on a full charge? Do you have the older model, or the Lite which has adjustable brightness? It could be that it's too bright and draining the battery.

Batteries are like $15 in the States from Nintendo, so I don't know how expensive they are in England-Land.

I've had my DS for about a year now, and I have a Lite.

Try it on a lower brightness setting. The lowest setting is still brighter than an old DS, and it looks fine in a darker area.

Make sure it's got a full charge and see how long it lasts.

Even with the screen light turned up all the way, it should still last more than two hours. I have mine set to the second highest setting and it lasts a good while. It sounds like there's definitely something wrong with your battery.

I can play it with the charger in, but the plug sockets in our house are stupidly placed, and it gets uncomfortable playing my DS on a dining chair. :/

I could buy a new one I guess, I'll have a look in GAME to see if they have any hardware that can charge without using plug sockets first though.

I was going to say leave it on charge all the time but you already said that's annoying. Maybe use an extention cord so you can play it on a comfortable seat. That's what I do when I play it downstairs (stupid socket is behind the TV >.<)

I was thinking that, but I'd need to unplug all my TV and my Wii and stuff, and I'm lazy.

That's what those multiple-socket adaptor things are for.

I got one of those, but I have a lot of stuff that needs plugging in.

Then I'll be spending half my day plugging and unplugging things.
Who invented plugs anyway? I hate them for it.
