You can bitch and moan about Batman Begins all you want but the fact is Chris Nolan breathed new life into a dead franchise with Batman Begins.
Your brain is going to explode one of these days.

John_912 is really The Joker and is just stirring up anarchy into EoFF.
But yeah, I loved Batman Begins when it came out. I thought the pre-batman beginning was great and explored Waynes character thoroughly. Though the film has really been pushed back by how awesome The Dark Knight was.

I think Batman Begins is a good Batman film. It isn't the best, but it's certainly a step in the right direction and leagues better from the likes of Batman and Robin. I liked seeing the "origin story", and the pace was just right for me. I actually wouldn't have minded if the film had been longer in order to flesh out some of the characters, but all in all it was an enjoyable story with some nice cinematography. I digged the gritty realism and the mob world as well as Batman's development throughout the film.

The actors did a good job in their roles, and I liked the villains. At times Nolan's cuts were too hasty, which occasionally made sense from a story's point of view but at other times were pointless and should've been organized better. The score was quite disappointing too, because I was expecting a more leitmotivic approach and instead the end result ended up being a jumbled mess (it did work adequately in the film but it could've been better).

So, Batman Begins is definitely one of the better Batman films out there and worth a look.

All I can think about now is how much we desperately need a Rainbow Knight.

I liked Batman Begins, very much so. Having a detailed story about the birth of Batman made the character more interesting and believable for me, rather than just being told that "his folks got capped when he was a kid, so he decided to become a crime-fighting ninja with a novelty costume theme".

It avoided the trap of being corny and self-referential, yet still introduced a lot of key characters and ideas. Gotham City was well developed, and I particularly liked the way Bruce Wayne's public life had to adapt and make sacrifices in order to give life to the Batman persona.

    Plus there were sword fights, a cackling villain, and tons of explodey <img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" />. Basically, a movie that delivered well on all fronts.
