Thread: About to go to the Kefka's building

Default About to go to the Kefka's building

I am currently playing the PS version of the game and I am wondering if level 40 is enough to tackle the tower? I still have to find the leviathan and bahamut espers. *coughsummonscough* and find the remaing dragons, only 4 left. I am making my healers for the tower Terra, Relm and Celes.

If you're playing the PSOne version of FFVI, there won't be a Leviathan summon. That's only available in the GBA version. The best strategy for the tower is to make sure you have one quality character in each group that can support the rest with decent magic and equipment.

To get Bahamut, set your airship perfectly northbound. Then turn it, ever so slighty so that you fly an entire row of squares on the map before it automatically takes you into the next row. That seems to be the easiest way to find Deathgaze and get Bahamut.

Very true. Death/Doomgaze spawns on a random, fixed coordinate every time you get on your airship and it's a lot of luck that you will hit that coordinate, unless you use the approach that Yaridovich describes, which allows you to cover the entire map.

Also, don't be surprised if Death/Doomgaze runs away a couple of times and you have to repeat this exercise. It's very annoying.

Thanks, and do you think it's going to be easy to do in the 40s. Also I thought there was the leviathan because some ramdom said he saw a flying serpert that looked like a fish

Doomgaze is like the only boss I'll actually use Vanish/Doom on because he's just such a pain in the ass. (Don't use X-Zone, though, since then you won't get the magicite.)

I got Bahamut rather easily, in fact while I was doing all the other side-quests I got Bahamut due to the amount of flying I did. Probably because I get lost so easy xD

This game can easily be beaten in the 30s, so I'd say you're perfectly fine. Just make sure everyone has proper equipment and spells, and follow the previous advice of putting at least one quality character in each team to support them.

I've fought Dirt, Storm, Red and Ice.

Thanks everyone for your advice, and by the way when does Relm learn Ultima?

If I remember correctly the Holy dragon is in the tower of the cult of Kefka (Where Strago is) and the Blue dragon in the ancient castle (Where you find Odin/Raidin)

Relm can't learn Ultima without the Ragnarok Esper or the Paladin Shield. Only Terra can learn Ultima naturally and she learns it at level 99 if I remember correctly

    Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
    Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

Yes, Terra Learns Ultima at level 99 and Celes learns Meteor at level 98. Only Terra and Celes learns spells naturally without the assistance of espers

Terra: Figaro Castle - Final Fantasy VI: Terra
Celes: Figaro Castle - Final Fantasy VI: Celes
