The only Shoegaze band I've heard mentioned alot is My Bloody Valentine, I believe. They just sounded like indie rock to me. I fail to see the 'terribly unique' aspect of it.Originally Posted by Coma

Apparently it's a form of really mellow British rock that got its name because the musicians would just .. well .. gaze at their shoes while they played live.
