Just Noticed Something
I was playing VI, and I walked through the Phantom Forest. That musical score is used without much (if any) change somewhere in VII (I think it's the Ancient Forest).
So, would someone like to pinpoint it exactly? And what else has VII "borrowed" from other Final Fantasies & JRPGs.

I think the fort condor battles are a lot like ffVI's mog & friend fight and the time your whole party fights kefka. When you have to press square and change between parties.

Aside from Aeris's theme resembling the Aria from VI, I can't think of too much.
