I was just curious as to when the game was released in the U.S. Some sites say 9/7/99 while I'm sure it was 9/9/99. In anycase the game just or will turn 9 years old. Anybody remember for sure?

Pretty sure 9/9/99 was accurate. Companies have always loved doing that. No company in their right mind would miss an opportunity by a measly two days. So even if I wasn't so sure, it would stand to reason that's the case regardless
Edit: IGN says Sept 9th. I don't know why Wikipedia says the 7th. Maybe the 7th was a Tuesday and they just assumed things worked back then the way they do now. Somehow over the years Tuesday has become the official "video game release" day. Much like theatrical releases always opening on Friday. Though that makes sense. Video games on Tuesday doesn't make so much sense. But yeah. It was the 9th. And I'm done with my tangent
