I don't see how someone could know what "soccer mom" means but it boggled by "hockey mom." People who fail to see simple connections like that worry me.

"Soccer mom" is ANTI-AMERICAN because lots of filthy foreigners play soccer and are really good at it. Hockey, however, is a much smaller sport in the international arena, so it makes for a far more wholesome and American maternal analogy.
