I honestly think if Square wanted to make a movie, they should've done it with this one instead of Spirits Within. Cuz even Aki Ross had the same flavour to her that Wolf Kanno alluded to.

    Lovely, isn't it?

I wish they'd make a FFXII movie, something like AC or even a prequel movie with Fran and Balthier as leading roles.
Well we at least have the Ivalice Alliance and it seems to be doing rather well so I wouldn't be surprised to see future titles involving the wonderful world of Ivalice.

I can see Fran and Balthier taking centre stage at some point. The second they bustle on to the screen they busy themselves by scene stealing throughout the whole game.
My favourite ff team of all time.

Celes is an epic FF chic, i wish she had her own game. one that played like the first part of VI (not like all that world of ruin part)

i havent played enough 12 to know them all too much. ashe was ok from what i saw. i loved fran (but im the archer type anyway) and always played her as the lead. unfortunatally, i lost interest as i hit the liasu mines.

and i havent played 3,5,or 6. im not very far in 4 either. im still beating the octomammoth or w/e in the waterfall.

^Wasn't Ashe flattered by Al-Cid? Was she perhaps entertaining nasty thoughts about him?

I have to say, though Ashe is certainly not depicted as a "ho," she definitely has the most male interest in XII.

I have not been fortunate enough to play IX yet, so I can't comment on Garnet.

Out of the main heroines I like Terra, Ashe, Celes and Faris the best because they each differed from what the usual heroine archetype is.

No, hse really really isnt. She tricks people into thinking she's unique by being an awesome character, but she's seriously not. I still love her, I just think it's very clever how she tricks people into thinking she's a special snowflake, when really she's a speacial snowflake just like all the other special snowflakes.

Rinoa. Stupid h0r tries to do stuff without her man and phails. I agree with you to an extent, NeoTifa.

nah i'm not crazy for Terra. Celes is the best female in that game imo

RESPONDING TO THREAD IN GENERAL: Oh brother!

I don't honestly detect much personality in the latest male characters appearing either. In my opinion, they're all a bunch of typical bishounen with about as much depth as a doorknob and can frequently be nothing more than simplistic cliches.

But what do I know? Maybe I just expect too much.
    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.

This is why I love Basch so much, hell its a proven scientific fact that if you put Basch as your lead in FFXII, you will grow hair on your chest.
