I guess the most recent disappointment I can think of is Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu - it looks great at times with the animation and art styles, and some of the references to other series is a nicety, but the amount of pointless stereotypical characters and scenes, and somewhat generic storyline behind the initial concept ruined it
cl_out, you expected something good out of it? The recent seasons have been loaded with moe-blob shows, and I fail to see why this one would be exceptional in any regard. We all knew from the start there couldn't have been a School Days ending. The German dude pissed me off, though.
I would suggest Azumanga Daioh to people I hate, but seeing as how everyone seems to love it, I'd probably be doing them more of a favor.
I have a new one. Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 2.
What a waste of time. It wasn't even remotely decent like the first set of episodes.
Thank god it was only 2 episodes long.
Weell its not so much bad but really trippy:
Paranoia Agent!
I kinda started it but half way through i kinda stopped on its trippiness lol...is it worth finishing?...i know i'll watch it anyway but is the ending good?
[Life is Eternity in a nutshell]
I like Paranoia Agent but I genuinely like trippy anime.
The last few episodes are especially amusing and you get one of the best lines ever in the final episode...
(SPOILER)"Who would have thought the world was going to end because of a dead puppy?"
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
Ooooh, have you seen Serial Experiments Lain? That has got to officially be the trippiest anime ever :kaodizzy:
Even more than Angel Egg?
I'm not sure anything is more trippy than Angel Egg with the possible exception of Cat Soup

I would recommend the Pokemon anime to not be seen, but with a qualification. It's a crudely animated half-hour commercial for the games with three main protagonists who are uninteresting and dull. But it has one redeeming feature: Team Rocket. But for the fact that those loveable goofballs are in there are the only reason I watched it at all. So watch just the episodes where they're the main focus.
I'm a fan of Rachael Lillis, but I've discovered in other anime she can only do two voices: her grown-up 'Jessie' voice and her little-girl 'Misty' voice.
