I liked it as well but its hardly my top anime choice. Its pacing and grim low key presentation makes watching it pretty difficult.

I remember in my anime club watching Digital Devil, just for the title. That's about all that's good about it. As far as Gundam goes, Double Zeta is about the worst. War in the Pocket rules, but I can see why it's not popular: it focuses on the impact of war on a few people instead of trying for an epic space opera.
Is it sad I don't define any of the Gundams as a space opera? I guess I'm just spoiled from the Lejiverse.

I have issues with Genocyber and Fist of the North Star, not for the writing, which was generally good, but for the excessive graphic violence. The strange thing is I love horror but hate gore.
Never saw Genocyber but I actually enjoy Fist of the North Star cause its just as cheesy as it is epic.

It's no Escaflowne, but I liked it better than Votoms, although they share the same theme: elite pilots from opposing amoral organizations find their soul mate in each other.

    Note I said 'trying'.

Especially the way Ken screams like a girl when he attacks? Sure. But if I want to see exploding heads, I'd rather watch Scanners.

The animated Tekken movie is bad. BAD. AWFUL AND BAD. Well, to be fair I could only find it in english, so it might just be a good movie with a terrible engrish dub, but I couldn't finish it. Awful. Normally I can watch poor dubs without a problem, but this one. Oh god.

Though Blue Seed, Blue Gender, any gundam that isn't G or Wing, and FLCL. (Yes, you ahve probably seen it and loved it, jsut like the rest of the anime community.I still hate it though. :P)

And to be different, I will suggest to you a good anime movie you are not likely to ever see suggested here, Voices of a Distant Star.
See, I knew there had to be someone who didn't like it. I was hoping I'd never ever meet that someone so I could go on thinking FLCL would be the exception to the Very Big Rule.

Angry HOW DARE YOU SAY GALAXY ANGEL SUCKS!!!

What's with all the Galaxy Angel hate?

I know it isn't the deepest or most linear anime out there but the random humour and the cuteness make up for it. Unless you don't appreciate that either. I personally don't get how anyone could hate the random humour in Galaxy Angel (even though I'm a really serious person in general I actually can't help smiling at the ridiculous antics in Galaxy Angel).

I guess if you're after anime with really deep storylines that make sense it's understandable. Otherwise, I'm sure that most people would enjoy watching Galaxy Angel.

I actually do enjoy random humor as I love Elf Princess Rain, Labyrinth of Flames, and even *gasp* dare I say it? Excel Saga. I might Youtube Galaxy Angel and see what I feel. I love deep plots but I don't mind random acts of humor as well. Of anything, its melodrama I'm picky about as it goes all to cheese too quickly for me.

Hey, Excel Saga is less random then it seems. It's a quite well thought out parady of other anime.

    Still pretty random though. XD

Galaxy Angel sucks because it isn't funny. This is from someone who otherwise likes random humor a la Azumanga Daioh/Excel Saga and even dopey fanservice-oriented humor like Steel Angel Kurumi/Love Hina.

I'm not bashing your thoughts on Galaxy Angel; I'm just stating my dislike for Love Hina...

That was in relation to Steel Angel Kurumi. I have no real justification for finding Love Hina funny, beyond the trashy melodrama that went with it appealing to me on some sick FFVIII level.

I'd steer clear of Soultaker. The concept is neat but it suffers from stylistic overkill.

Jewel Hunter Lime is like watching Ranma 1/2 with all the humor taken out and geared for the lowest common denominator audience. Again it's a good idea gone wrong.

Ya know I like Galaxy Angel. I thought it was funny and cute. They do throw a random serious episode now and again just to mess with you.

I have not seen Steel Angel Kurumi but I've seen Love Hina... I liked it the first time I saw it when it was called Urusei Yatsura, I even liked it the second time I saw it when it was called Ranma 1/2, or the third time when it was Maison Ikkoku...

SoulTaker had such potential and then it broke one of my story rules. Your major plot twist can't involve Atlantis (I'm looking at you Escaflowne) or aliens... It had such potential to be a cool mystical occult series and instead its a psychedelic alien-fest
