Is the Jewish calendar year the same as the Gregorian calendar year?
I would assume not as the gregorian years are based off the year christ was born

Yes. I get an entire week for this one holiday that people obsess about at the end of the year. Can't remember the name for the life of me, but apparently, they advertise it well into mid-September where I live. Odd, really.
there was some puzzle about three kids all being born in the same year in the same section of a city where they were all very outgoing and active but they never met one another and the reason why was because they lived in jerusalem or somewhere and used three different calendars.
