Thread: Heartless, Nobodies, Unbirths?

Seems... Heartless are creatures without hearts or more accurately, the raw darkness dwelling within any heart taking on a form of its own. Heartless have always existed because darkness has always existed just as has light. Because of Xehanort's strong heart, he was able to maintain his physical form (this is notable of all the Disney villains as well). Kairi never became a Heartless because her heart migrated to Sora's body instead. Sora then regained his form after Kairi shared her light with him. Riku willingly delved into the darkness but as he was possessed by Xehanort's Heartless, he never actually became a Heartless himself. This makes these four characters unique.
Nobodies are bodies left behind. They are called Nobodies because they have no real identity. They are nothing. Without their hearts, they can't experience or express emotion (apparently rage and despair are not true emotions, possibly derivative of the fact they are products of darkness). Nobodies can only be formed from people whose desires surpassed the strength of their hearts... as I put it. This leaves leftover desire in the body once the heart has left.
The Unbirths are obviously meant to embody characters that were never born. To be born, you must come into existence with a body, a heart, and most importantly, a soul. Obviously, Unbirths must be without souls. This would make them but a representation of the body and heart. Emotional, infantile, random, indecisive... not clear whose side they're on, probably. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Unbirths don't fight you.
    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.

I like that theory, seems a lot more logical. but then we wonder, Was Xehanort trying to be like Weiss from FFVII Dirge of Cereberus, and trying to gather a pure source? I know it's a tad off but in KHII the scenario of Xehanort creating Kingdom Hearts is similar to Weiss Resurrecting Omega isn't it?

sorry but i realy didnt feel like reading every post so here mine.

the heart and body need tobe cunnected, the soul provides this, so with out a soul the body and heart couldn't coexist.

That you guys actually try to make sense of this ridiculous mess of a milked premise is kind of cute.

That religion class should be capitalized. Bad form, Tav.

Yeah, I guess Weiss was trying to obtain a pure source of life and Xehamnas was searching out an abundant source of pure darkness. The question remains: What would occur if either obtained their end goal? We know that the world of FF7 would be doomed if the lifestream were completely absorbed, there's no guessing there, but what about Kingdom Hearts?
