I can't get the Celestial Mirror because some girl is blocking my way (Help)!

Alright, so I'm doing the part where you need to get it to shine in Maclania Forest. I reunited the dad with the mom, but the son ran off. So I got up the star-y path, and come to the Intersection. There's a girl that I can't get past to get to the son. I talk to her, and she just says stuff like, "Gee, isn't it great that they fixed this part of the road?" "Man, this is such a convient thing to walk on!" "I'm happy I can walk here again." "I keep talking about walking across this path even though I stand here all the ****ing time." She won't move. What do I do? I can't get any of the Celestial Weapons without the mirror.
